Discreen scans the text of web pages you view and visually blurs sensitive values (emails, card numbers, IBANs, SSNs, and any keywords you add) so they are not exposed when you share or record your screen. All scanning and blurring happens locally, inside your browser, on your device.
None. Discreen does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any of the following: page content, the values it detects, your browsing history, personal information, or usage analytics. The content it reads is processed in memory to draw the blur and is never sent anywhere.
Your preferences (which categories to blur, your custom keywords, on/off per site) are
saved using Chrome's own storage.sync so they follow your Chrome profile
across your devices. This data is handled by Google/Chrome, stays within your account,
and is never sent to us — we have no server to send it to.
If you upgrade to Pro, payment is handled by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your card details; Lemon Squeezy processes them under its own privacy policy. The only things stored locally in your browser are your license key and a flag indicating that Pro is active.
Discreen requests access to the pages you visit solely to read and blur text on them. It needs this on all sites because sensitive data can appear on any site (your CRM, inbox, bank, dashboard). This access is used only for on-device redaction.
